Other Services
Since 2001, ELD has conducted over 100 training workshops in Nepal, Laos and
Thailand, as well as around 100 in-house assignments. However, not all of these
in-house assignments are training programmes. ELD has also supported development
partners through a range of other services such as Team Building, Event Facilitation,
Project Close-out / Evaluation, Outplacement and Editing.
Teambuilding
ELD has designed Team Building workshops for clients such as UNICEF, GTZ, The
World Wildlife Fund, CARE Nepal and Family Health International. Usually each
retreat has a unique focus according to the client's needs, such as Negotiation,
Time / Stress Management, Conflict Management, Staff Development & Morale
or Strategic Planning.
Facilitation
ELD has facilitated retreats and workshops for partners such as UNDP, UNICEF
and SNV.
 Participants on HIV/AIDS Clinical Management Training conducted for Family Health International
- Assist you in needs analysis and setting objectives and assist or manage
completely the design of the event and schedule of sessions
- Agree a process and methodology and facilitate as per need
- Follow up with a report that can be used as an effective management tool
Project Close-out & Evaluation
ELD has successfully evaluated projects supported by PACT and UNFPA / the EU,
documenting their achievements in comprehensive reports and, where required, presenting
to donors and stakeholders.
Outplacement Training
Outplacement prepares and equips staff of projects which are coming to an end
to move on with their lives and careers positively. ELD has developed a five-day
programme covering:
- Accepting and dealing positively with the change
- Identifying your strengths and weaknesses
- Setting personal and career goals
- Developing a job-seeking plan
The course may be delivered by ELD directly or licensed to organisations that
wish to conduct it themselves.
Editing Services
 Government Counterparts of UNDP Hanoi developing their project planning skills Organisations approach us with their important documents in confidentiality
to ensure they get the right results. Work we have done in this area includes
brochures / prospectus writing, report editing, web pages, proposal development
and editing of training materials. Clients have included DFID, SDC, Save the
Children and Plan International.
